If govt supports we can also make Ertugrul-like serial, says Humayun Saeed

The Pakistani TV industry, a relatively new one though, has been fast catching up both in terms of popularity and great content. With a limited number of episodes of each show, a format diligently followed by the West, and a specific storyline, these are certainly capturing the audience’s attention, worldwide.
The popularity of Turkish Series Ertugrul in Pakistan has taken the internet by storm. However, famous actor Humayun Saeed in an interview said that we should also think of making an Islamic serial like Ertugrul.
Humayun said: “They made Ertugrul with the Turkish government’s financial aid. If our government supports us or any other capable producer, we could do it as well.”

The actor referred to some Pakistani dramas like Tipu Sultan, Babar and Akhri Chattan, which highlighted the conquests of the Muslim rulers and further said “The last time we came up with such a show was over 30 or 40 years ago.”
