Five members of Balochistan caretaker cabinet take oath

Five members of the Balochistan caretaker cabinet took oath on Monday, 24NewsHD TV channel reported

The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Balochistan Governor's House in Quetta.

The caretaker chief minister and former members of the assembly also participated in the event

Balochistan Governor Abdul Wali Kakar administered oaths to the cabinet members in the first phase.

They include Prince Ahmad Ali, Amjad Rasheed, Zubair Jamali, Jan Achakzai and Dr Qadir.

Also, Caretaker Chief Minister Ali Mardan Domki appointed his three advisers.

Domki aides appointed 

Shania Khan has been appointed social welfare and women development advisor while Danish has been posted as irrigation aide and Umeer Muhammad Hosni has been appointed mines and minerals advisor.

Ali Mardan Khan Domki took oath as caretaker CM last week.  Reportedly, Domki’s name was suggested by former CM Jam Kamal and Malik Sikander after a meeting with interim PM Anwaarul Haq Kakar.

Domki belongs to the Lahri area of Balochistan. He is the son of former senator Mir Hazor Bakhsh Domki who was a senator from 1975 to 1977. Balochistan's assembly was the last one to be dissolved after Sindh and the National Assembly following the completion of their constitutional terms.

After taking the oath, Caretaker Chief Minister Ali Mardan Domki in a media conversation said that holding elections is purely the job of the Election Commission of Pakistan. “Our task is to make the elections free and transparent,” he added. He expressed hope that elections will be held on time.
