Punjab police uniform budget increased from Rs680m to Rs1.36 billion

Punjab police uniform budget has been increased from Rs680 million to Rs1.36 billion, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

According to police officials, last year, 139,000 uniforms could not be purchased while around 225000 uniforms will be purchased this year.

T-shirts, jackets, shoes and other equipment will also be purchased from the proposed budget.

Pre-qualification will be started this month on the orders of the IG Punjab, police officials said.

Advertisement will also be issued in the next one or two days for pre-qualification.

Minor changes have been made in the SOPs for procurement in the current financial year.

After completing the procurement process, two each uniforms and other equipment will be provided to the concerned officers and officials.
