Yasir Sultan wins bronze in Asian Throwing Championship 2025

Pakistan’s javelin thrower Yasir Sultan secured a bronze medal at the Asian Throwing Championship 2025 with a powerful final attempt measuring 77.43 meters, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday. 

 According to details, the remarkable throw, which came on his sixth and last try, not only earned him third place but also marked his best performance of the season.

The competition saw intense rivalry, with Sri Lanka’s Ptherage clinching the gold medal thanks to an outstanding throw of 82.05 meters.

The silver medal was claimed by a Japanese athlete who recorded a distance of 78.60 meters.

Yasir Sultan’s journey to the podium was fraught with pressure; his first attempt was ruled a foul, putting him at an early disadvantage.

He responded strongly in his second attempt with a throw of 75.79 meters and followed it with 72.57 meters on his third try, steadily building momentum toward his medal-winning final effort.

Yasir’s bronze medal highlights Pakistan’s growing presence in international throwing events and adds another achievement to the nation’s athletic accomplishments.
