Punjab finance department ahead of New Year increased the daily wage of a labourer by merely Rs23 to reach Rs800 per day from previous daily wage Rs777, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The Punjab government further increased Rs100 in the salary of drivers to reach Rs1100 per day. 

The government even increased the daily wage of gardeners per day by Rs50 and now it has reached Rs850.
