Pervaiz Elahi announces Rs75m grants for bar associations

Amid political mayhem in the province, Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi has showered millions of funds in grants to different bar associations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The chief minister on Thursday using his discretionary powers approved Rs75 million in grants to a number of bar associations of the province.
Pakistan Supreme Court Bar Association will get lion’s share of Rs50 million.
Mandi Bahauddin Bar Association will receive Rs10 million, Malikwal and Rawalpindi Bars will get Rs5 million each.
Rs5 million were also spared for the Phalia Bar Association.
The latest funds were in addition to Rs200 million in grants which had already been announced for different bar associations of Punjab.
