Sri Lanka's 25-year-old Lahiru Kumara has been tested positive for COVID-19 tests and has been dropped for the West Indies tour, it is learnt here.

"All other players are tested negative and the tour will go ahead as planned", the source, speaking exclusively over the telephone from Colombo, said. “We conducted PCR tests 72-hours apart and Lahiru was negative in the first tests. However, the second tests which were conducted on Sunday were not favourable to him", the source added.

Lahiru will be isolated immediately and sent to the same Nawaloka Hospital's Intermediate Care Centre.

Lahiru, who has played 22 Tests, 13 ODIs' and 7 T-20Is was selected in both the squads-Limited Overs and Tests-for the Windies tour.  

The team is leaving via the USA tonight for Antigua. "No family members are allowed to travel with the team", the source also confirmed.

The team is scheduled to play 3 T-20Is, 3 ODIs' and two Tests on this tour.
