Info minister, FBR chairman ‘appear’ before IHC chief justice to discuss important cases

After participating in a high-level meeting at Islamabad High Court (IHC), the information minister said he and the FBR chairman appeared before IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah that day.
“The atmosphere during the meeting remained good. Chief Justice Athar Minallah gave advices,” he said.
“Cases worth Rs233 billion are pending in the IHC. This is the money of the country, not any individual’s,” he added.
“The FBR chairman termed 13 cases more important. The meeting discussed these cases with the chief justice and the registrar of the IHC,” Fawad stated.
“Justice Athar Minallah is one of the few great judges of Pakistan,” he said.
Fawad also praised Athar Minallah for taking a big step towards the prosperity of Pakistan, adding that other courts should follow the example of the IHC.
“Revenue cases are pending in the Islamabad High Court due to the FBR lawyers’ own fault,” he said.
“The FBR chairman will definitely benefit from the suggestions made during the meeting,” he added.
