Punjab Health Minister Dr. Javed Akram has said Children's Hospital is a major health facility for children and people from all over the country bring their children here for treatment.  

Talking to City 42 during his visit to the Children’s Hospital Lahore, Dr. Javed Akram said that more hospitals will be built for children in other cities keeping in mind the patient load in the Children hospital.

“The people coming from far away have to travel less and children can be provided with the best health facilities at their doorstep.”

The minister said the government will erect another 110-bed “Musafir Khana” for the children’s attendants.  

Accompanying by Specialized Health Special Secretary Shoaib Khan Jadoon and Additional Secretary Ashraf Gujar, the minister visited different wards of the hospital.

Prof Dr. Javed Akram said that the visit is being made following the instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi to review the measures taken to provide more facilities to patients. 

 The government will remove the shortcoming on the war footing for the continuation of better health facilities for the children, he added.
