In the matter of reserved seats for women and minorities in the Balochistan Assembly of the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N), the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued a written order on Thursday.
According to the ECP decision, the lists of the reserved seats provided by the Central President of the PML-N and not the President of the PML-N Balochistan Chapter will be accepted.
The ECP also directed the Returning Officer (RO) to release the list provided by the central president of the PML-N.
The petition was filed by Patrick St Masih in the ECP through his lawyer Hafiz Ehsan Ahmed Khokhar.
The ECP reserved its decision on the petition about the reserved seats list of the PML-N on February 16.
A controversy arose over the submission of a separate list by the president of the PML-N Balochistan chapter.
