DJ Khaled becomes 2nd rapper to receive mysterious coffin at home

DJ Khaled has become the second rapper to receive a mysterious coffin at his home.

According to a police report, a black coffin was delivered to Khaled’s Miami property last weekend. The coffin, which bore messages such as "RIP Drake" and "RIP OVO [Drake's brand]," was left at the gate of Khaled's home on Saturday, February 15, by two men who managed to bypass the security guard by claiming to be delivery drivers.

After placing the coffin at the entrance, the men reportedly knelt and prayed in front of it. The coffin also featured an upside-down cross. Following their departure in a truck, Khaled’s security guard disposed of the coffin, the police report noted.

The coffin’s delivery came just days after Khaled teased his latest project, which he claims includes two tracks featuring Drake, on social media. In response, Drake humorously remarked, "Must be Drake Bell," referencing Khaled’s teaser earlier this month.

This incident makes Khaled the second Florida rapper to receive a coffin in just a few days.

On Thursday, February 13, controversial artist Tekashi 6ix9ine received a similar black coffin — also with an upside-down cross — at his Florida home. However, the coffin delivered to 6ix9ine was marked "RIP King Von," in reference to the late rapper King Von, who passed away in 2020. Prior to Von's death, 6ix9ine and Von had a well-known feud.

It remains unclear whether the two incidents are connected.
