Govt working tirelessly to keep Punjab neat and clean: Minister

Punjab Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb on Saturday said that government working round the clock to keep Punjab neat and clean, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

She expressed these views while inaugurating Suthra Punjab (Clean Punjab) program in Rawalpindi, she said that their narrative does not revolve around trouble and conflict. Instead, their politics is about delivering results.

The provincial senior minister said that politics of hatred and violence brought Pakistan on the verge of destruction.

She said that cut in interest rate put a positive impact on national economy as investor’s confidence enhanced.

She urged the youth to recognize those who build roads, hospitals, and drive progress, saying that they deserve the vote. She emphasized that the mandate stolen in 2018 was returned in 2024. 

Maryam Aurangzeb further stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif saved the country from default by negotiating with the IMF. Inflation is now at its lowest, the stock market is reaching new heights, and exports are increasing. 

She also highlighted that people from other provinces are admiring Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s initiatives in Punjab. She mentioned that 1,000 students have received scholarships, 500,000 homes are being provided, and medicine has already been delivered to 500,000 people at their doorsteps. Additionally, a cancer hospital is under construction, which will treat 1,000 patients.

She added that under the Chief Minister’s program, 700 roads will be completed by June 2025. A new initiative will ensure that every household has access to vaccinations and a Lady Health Inspector. The Dhee Rani program has also been launched, and farmers in rain-fed areas are receiving interest-free loans through the Kisan Card. “We are working day and night. We will not respond to abuse, trouble, or chaos,” she concluded.
