A train going from Lahore to Karachi caught fire due to a technical fault near Sukkur on Friday. 

According to details, Shalimar Express was on its way from Lahore to Karachi when a hot excel triggered fire in a coach of the train. Due to the fire, the train’s brakes failed. Later, emergency brakes were used to stop the moving train.

The Pakistan Railways is notorious for accidents. Hundreds of passengers are killed and injured in train accidents every year as authorities do not pay attention to maintenance of trains and tracks.
