Minor girl injured in pet tiger attack in Lahore

A pet tigress attacked a minor girl in Bhekewal Kachi Abadi in Lahore, injuring her leg and ear, police said on Wednesday.

According to a spokesperson for DIG Operations, the incident took place in Bhekewal Pind when two men, identified as Bilawal and Shujaat, were unloading the pet tigress from a rickshaw. During the process, the animal attacked a nearby minor girl.

The injured girl was immediately shifted to a hospital for medical treatment, while police reached the scene soon after the incident.

DIG Operations Faisal Kamran took strict notice of the incident and ordered immediate legal action against the owners of the pet tigress. The police spokesperson said the accused fled the scene along with the tigress but will be arrested soon.

Police said efforts are underway to apprehend the suspects and take the animal into custody, and strict action will be taken in accordance with the law.
