Most-wanted dacoit surrenders to police in Kashmore
Two captives recovered during operation in Ubauro
Ibrahim Shar, a dacoit who was a symbol of terror for the people of Kashmore, surrendered to the police on Thursday during an operation in the katcha area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The dacoit was wanted in connection with several heinous crimes, including kidnappings for ransom, murder, attempted murder and encounters with the police.
Police, on the other hand, are carrying out an operation for the arrest of other dacoits.
Meanwhile, the joint operation by the police and Rangers in the katcha area of Ubauro entered sixth day on Thursday.
During the operation, the law-enforcers recovered two captives while an exchange of fire between them and dacoits was continuing till last reports came in.
Police spokesman said that dacoits had demanded a large amount from the families of the captives namely Sultan and Muhammad Bashir, belonging to Sheikhupura and Rawalpindi, respectively.
Meanwhile, police have set up more checkpoints and have intensified the search operation in the area.
