Since 2014, KFC has been actively supporting the education, vocational training and employment of hearing-impaired individuals across Pakistan, the embassy spokesperson said.
The Deaf Reach Schools operate under the NGO Family Educational Services Foundation and were founded by American philanthropists Richard Geary and Heidi Gostansky-Geary.

The initiative reflects a collaborative model in which American brands work alongside Pakistani partners to generate direct local economic and social benefits.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Baker said the inauguration demonstrated how US companies contribute meaningfully to Pakistan’s local economic development through responsible business practices.

She emphasized that initiatives such as KFC’s support for Deaf Reach Schools illustrate how corporate responsibility can improve lives while expanding opportunity. She added that deeper economic cooperation produces concrete benefits for both Americans and Pakistanis.
Ambassador Baker noted that more than 80 US companies have invested in Pakistan to date, collectively providing direct employment to approximately 120,000 Pakistanis and indirectly supporting nearly one million additional workers.
The US Embassy spokesperson said the visit reflects America’s enduring commitment to strengthening US-Pakistan cooperation in trade and bilateral investment for the mutual benefit of both countries.
