Wife of late Munnu Bhai laid to rest in Lahore

Wife of renowned poet, intellectual, writer and Sundas Foundation chairman late Munnu Bhai passed away in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Her namaz-i-Janaza was offered at Munnu Bhai Park, located in Riwaz Garden, which was attended by a large number of people including from literary and journalist circles. Later, she was buried in a graveyard.

Those attended the funeral included actor-comedian Suhail Ahmad, Tahir Sarwar Mir, Yasim Khan, Khalid Abbas Dar, Imran Mehar, Sundas Foundation CCO Abdus Sattar, Abdullah Malik Advocate and relatives and friends.

President Zardari condoles

President Asif Ali Zardari expressed deep grief and sorrow over the passing of the wife of renowned poet, intellectual and writer Munnu Bhai.

Offering his heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family, the president prayed for the elevation of the departed soul’s ranks in Jannah.

“May Allah Almighty grant patience and strength to the bereaved family to endure this irreparable loss with equanimity,” the president said in a statement issued by the President House Media Wing in Islamabad.
