A group of foreign media correspondents in Pakistan on Wednesday visited the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, though India had already refused to host the international journalists' delegation which wanted to visit Indian Occupied Kashmir (IOK), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

The relations between Islamabad and New Delhi remain low over India's move to revoke Occupied Kashmir's special autonomy on August 5 last year. The Indian government’s aggressive and illegal move to change the status of the IOK will complete one year mark on August 5 this year. United Nations and international organizations condemned the Indian move to repeal Article 370 of the Indian constitution that granted protection to the Kashmiris in IOK.

The visit of the foreign media delegation has been taking place when Indian troops have already committed 1,698 cross-border violations in 2020 to date.

The journalists reporting for the foreign media organisations will be briefed on the regional situation and Indian ceasefire violations across the LoC that deliberately target the civilian population.

The delegation will be interviewing local residents freely who are the direct victims of the Indian troops' brutalities and cross-border firing and shelling.
