According to the report, sugar prices increased by Rs10 per kilogram to Rs160 per kilogram on Friday.
According to Statistic Bureau of Pakistan (SBP), the commodity is available in Rs152 in Quetta, Rs150 in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Khuzdar, Rs 148 in Sialkot, Rs 146 in Gujranwala, Rs145 in Faisalabad, Sargodha, Larkana, Rs140 in Sukker, Bannu and Bahawalpur.
The residents of Karachi and Islamabad are involuntarily purchasing high-priced sugar available in the country.
The citizens complained that purchasing sugar is getting out of their reach, the government will have to take proper measures to control the prices by taking strict action against the sugar mafia.
