COAS visits Pakistan Navy War College in Lahore

Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa visited the Pakistan Navy War College in Lahore on Monday, laid wreaths at Yadgar-e-Shuhada and offered Fateha for the soul of the martyrs.
Later, the COAS addressed the participants in the 49th Naval Staff Course and faculty members of the Pakistan Navy War College. The COAS said the Naval War College was a prestigious institution of the Pakistan Navy where officers of the Pakistani armed forces and armed forces of the friendly countries were trained for key command and staff appointments.
General Bajwa said the Pakistan Navy, with a proud history of valour and sacrifices as a formidable force, always came up to the expectations of the nation in defending the maritime frontiers of the motherland. During the address, the COAS talked about geostrategic environment, security challenges and opportunities for Pakistan.
Upon his arrival earlier, he was received by Rear Admiral Muhammad Zubair Shafique, Commandant of the Pakistan Navy War College. Lahore Corps Commander Lieutenant General Majid Ehsan was also present on the occasion.
