Two dacoits killed in police ‘encounter’ in Okara

Police in Okara on Wednesday claimed to have shot dead two dacoits in an ‘encounter’ near Ahmed Town locality of the city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
It said, however, one of the dacoits managed to flee.
Giving details, the Force said that three unidentified men were about to escape after robbing a man of his valuables that police reached the spot.
On seeing the cops, it explained, the men opened fire which prompted the former to retaliate; consequently, two outlaws were killed while the third one fled.
The Force informed that a stolen motorbike and unlicensed weapons were also recovered from them.
It said that a heavy police contingent had cordoned off the area while hunt had been launched for the absconding dacoit.
However, those slain could not be identified till the filing of this story.
