Video scandal against ex-NAB chief: woman demands inquiry

A woman involved in a video scandal implicating former NAB chairman Justice ® Javed Iqbal demanded an action against the latter, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Reportedly, a woman named Tayabba Gul wrote a letter to the PAC chairman requesting him to take an action against ex-NAB chairman Justice ®Iqbal and the bureau’s DG Saleem Shehzad.
The PAC chairman has started holding consultation on summoning Javed Iqbal and Tayabba Gul in front of the committee.
In 2019, an audio/video scandal involving the former NAB chief was leaked. But the NAB filed a reference in an accountability court against central characters Tayyaba Gul, and Farooq Nol behind the scandal.
The bureau had said that the group blackmailed several individuals, including former NAB chief, adding that the group defrauded the citizens of over Rs24.4 million.
The NAB said that it received six complaints against Gul and Nol, and 36 witnesses recorded their statements against them.
