Gate falls on playing kids in Gujrat, three died, other three injured

In Gujrat’s Model Town area, a heartbreaking incident occurred last night when a wall collapsed, claiming the lives of three children and leaving three others critically injured.

According to rescue sources, the injured children were immediately shifted to Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital for urgent medical treatment. Among the deceased were 10-year-old Rani and 9-year-old Kamran.

The children were reportedly playing near the gate when it suddenly collapsed on top of them, causing fatal injuries to some and critically wounding others.

The affected family belongs to District Bahawalnagar and has been residing in Gujrat for labour work to earn their livelihood.

The tragedy has cast a shadow of grief over the entire locality. Eyewitnesses and neighbours described the incident as unbearably painful, and the area remains engulfed in a deep state of mourning.

Rescue officials say that one of the injured children remains in critical condition, and doctors are fighting to save the child’s life.
