Iran-Israel-US war: LPG price jumps by Rs90

The escalating tensions between Iran and Israel have begun to impact Pakistan’s economy, as seen in a dramatic spike in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) prices. 

According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the commercial hub Karachi recorded a Rs90 per kilogram increase, pushing the retail price from Rs240 to Rs330 per kilo.

Residents expressed outrage over the hike, terming LPG the “fuel of the poor”, and demanded that the government urgently import additional supplies to stabilise the market.

“This sharp increase has made our everyday life even more expensive,” said a local resident, highlighting the growing burden on low-income households already battling inflation.
