UNSC convenes emergency meeting on Iran’s request with backing from Pakistan, China, and Russia
The UN Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on Sunday at Iran's request, citing the US airstrikes on Iran's atomic installation, which it claims have dangerously escalated the situation.
Iran’s request was supported by Russia, China, and Pakistan.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Senator Ishaq Dar, made this important announcement through the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), confirming that an emergency session of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) is being convened.

According to Ishaq Dar, the emergency meeting is being held at the request of Iran and is supported by Pakistan, China, and Russia.
Dar further stated that the emergency session is scheduled to take place today in New York.
