Missing child reunited with family after reaching Lahore from Gujrat
A 10-year-old boy who left home after an argument with his family and travelled alone from Gujrat to Lahore was reunited with his parents after being found wandering in the city, police said on Monday.
According to police, the child was found alone and in a distressed condition near Garhi Shahu Chowk. Garhi Shahu police took immediate action and shifted him into protective custody.
Police launched efforts to identify the child using the Child Safety App and other technological resources. Authorities were able to trace the family through modern investigative methods and establish contact with them.
Following the identification process, the child was safely handed over to his parents.
The family thanked the police for their timely efforts and the safe return of the child.
SP Civil Lines Chaudhry Azhar Ali urged parents to keep a close watch on their children and immediately inform authorities in case of any emergency involving minors.
