Tauseeq Haider urges fans to take unexplained weight loss seriously
Veteran broadcaster and television personality Tauseeq Haider on Monday shared a message about health awareness.
He urged people not to ignore sudden and unexplained weight loss.
Speaking during an interview, Tauseeq explained that unexpected weight loss should not automatically be viewed as a positive achievement.
Instead, he said it can sometimes be an important warning sign that deserves medical attention.
To illustrate his point, he recounted the experience of a cousin who had always been slightly chubby.
Over time, she began losing a noticeable amount of weight without making any significant changes to her diet or lifestyle.
According to Tauseeq, friends, relatives, and people around her constantly complimented her appearance and praised her weight loss.
Many asked her what she was doing to achieve the transformation.
However, she would simply laugh and explain that she was not following any diet plan or exercise routine.
What initially appeared to be a welcome physical change later turned into a serious health concern.
Tauseeq revealed that approximately six months later, his cousin was diagnosed with cancer.
The diagnosis came as a shock, especially because many people had viewed her weight loss as a positive element rather than a possible symptom of an underlying illness.

He further reflected that if someone suddenly loses several kilograms within a short period without dieting or exercising, it is important to consult a medical professional rather than simply celebrating the change.
Fortunately, Tauseeq shared that his cousin received timely medical treatment after her diagnosis.
Because the illness was detected in time, she underwent the necessary treatment, including chemotherapy, and has since recovered well.
