Basit Bukhari announces casting his vote against PM to save nation
Renegade MNA says NAB inquiry was started against him at PM Imran’s request
Member National Assembly (MNA) Basit Bukhari who was elected on an independent seat has now announced casting his vote against Prime Minister Imran Khan to save the nation.
Talking on the 24News HD TV channel’s programme—Goonj on Tuesday, Bukhari said casting a vote on a no-confidence motion was their constitutional right.
In an exclusive interview with senior anchor Sana Bacha, the renegade MNA said he was not elected on the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ticket but independently in general elections.
Bukhari said he had not been in touch with PTI for the last two years and was waiting for the right time to show his distance to the rulers so now he will use his right to vote against PM Imran.
In another private channel’s programme, Basit Bukhari said that NAB inquiry was started against him at the request of the PM and when Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar was asked, he replied that there was a compulsion.
