Burzil Pass in GB opens courtesy 10-day hectic efforts by Pakistan Army

Pakistan Army, after untiring efforts spreading over 10 days, finally opened the Burzil Pass, a strategic route in Gilgit Baltistan (GB), which had been closed for traffic on February 18, 2024 due to heavy snowfall, on March 19, 2024, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The pass is of great significance as it connects different parts of the GB.

As many as 14 bulldozers, 11 snow vehicles and one excavator were used in the clearance operation, which began on March 9 and was completed in just 10 days.

Locals also appreciated the Pakistan Army’s efforts, which resulted in the opening of the pass.
