Islamabad woman receives Rs1 billion extortion demand from TTP militants

A woman resident of Islamabad has received phone calls from unknown militants of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) demanding one billion rupees ransom, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The woman told Golra Police Station Rawalpindi that unknown militants of banned TTP were making her phone calls from Afghanistan and Iran and demanding one billion rupees ransom.

She further said that TTP members were threatening her that in case woman failed to pay the amount she will face dire consequences.

Golra Police Station after the registration of an FIR against unknown TTP officials started investigation of the incident.
