Kim Kardashian seeks emergency custody hearing mid Kanye West's latest controversies
Kim Kardashian is growing frustrated as she navigates the fallout from Kanye West's latest public outbursts, particularly those involving their four children: North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
According to a source close to the reality star, Kardashian is deeply concerned about West’s erratic behavior but still wants their children to maintain a healthy relationship with their father. “When Kanye’s not around, it’s very sad for the kids. North especially asks to see him. But when he is around, many times it causes frustration and stress for Kim,” the source told People magazine.
The situation escalated last week when Kardashian cut short her 11-year-old daughter North’s visit with West after learning that controversial figures Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate were expected to join them. The Tate brothers, recently back in the U.S. after facing sex crime charges abroad, were allegedly en route to the meeting spot, prompting Kardashian to act swiftly to protect her daughter.
Following the incident, Kardashian requested an emergency custody hearing. She and West, along with their respective legal teams and a mediator, met on March 14 to address concerns over their children’s safety.
“She can’t stand when he acts irrational,” the source continued. “She wants the kids to spend time with him in a safe environment. She finds it ridiculous that she needs her lawyer on speed dial.”
The meeting also touched on West’s recent music release, which has sparked further controversy. His latest track, Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine, features his daughter North alongside incarcerated rapper Sean Diddy Combs. Combs remains in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center, facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting persons for prostitution. His involvement in the song has only added to the mounting controversy.
Tensions escalated further on March 19 when West made explosive claims that the Kardashian family was involved in sex trafficking children, citing North’s participation in an FKA Twigs song as supposed evidence.
Despite the ongoing media firestorm and legal battles, Kardashian remains committed to shielding her children from the turmoil. While she has strived to co-parent amicably, the continued chaos has left her bracing for the next crisis, with her attorney on standby as the situation unfolds.
