Fatal overtaking attempt leaves three family members dead near RYK Road

At least three people were killed and four others injured in a tragic road accident near Sehjra Mor on Rahim Yar Khan Road in Khanpur, 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Sunday.

According to the rescue officials, the accident occurred when two cars collided head-on while attempting to overtake at a sharp turn. 

The impact of the crash was severe, resulting in the immediate death of three family members, including a woman, while four others sustained injuries.

Rescue teams promptly reached the scene and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. 

Officials stated that the deceased belonged to Rahim Yar Khan.

Authorities believe that overspeeding and reckless overtaking at the turn were the primary causes of the accident. 

Further investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances leading to the fatal collision.
