PIA allowed to operate 36 more special flights till May 31

The government has allowed the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to boost its special flights operation and operate another 36 flights by May 31 to bring back Pakistanis stranded in different countries.
The government also allowed 11 other flights to be operated by foreign airlines and chartered ones for the same purpose.
According to the schedule, the PIA will run 36 flights to the United States, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman, Senegal and Ethiopia to bring the Pakistani nationals home by May 31.
Flight from Dubai
Meanwhile, the passengers of a PIA flight which brought back Pakistanis from Dubai to Faisalabad on late Thursday night were shifted to different quarantine centres, Airport officials told 24NewsHD TV channel.
The PIA flight, PK-8224, landed at the Faisalabad Airport with 146 Pakistani workers on board.
After immigration and scanning, 75 passengers were shifted to quarantine centre set up at Paras Centre Agriculture University, 17 to Prime Hotel, 10 to Hotel Raj One, 18 to Hotel One, 20 to Lords Inn Hotel and five Al-Noor Hotel, said the airport officials.
According to the airport officials, a dead body was also brought to the Faisalabad International Airport from Dubai through the PIA flight.
The body was of Wali Jan, a resident of North Waziristan, who died of a heart attack. His son who also travelled with the body from Dubai received it at the airport and left for his home in North Waziristan.
