Accidents increased on motorway by smoke of burning crop

Accidents on motorways have been increased by heavy smoke from burning crop residues on the side areas.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday, the district administration Sheikhupura started an awareness campaign for farmers having lands on both sides of the motorway.
At least 15 vehicles collided with heavy smoke near Qila Sattar Shah yesterday resultantly five people were seriously injured due to smoke from burning crop residues.
Previously, 14 cases have already been registered against the landlords in the complaint filed by the Motorway Police for accidents by burning crop residues.
And the Sheikhupura police have arrested around 17 farmers for burning their crop residues near the motorway.
Now, the district administration of Sheikhupura with the help of religious clerics and announcements from mosques started an awareness campaign among the formers to avoid accidents in the future.
