Buzdar takes notice as 3 children die after taking fake medicine

Another child lost his life on Saturday after taking fake medicine given by a quack doctor in Multan taking the death toll to three in Multan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Two siblings, Tahira, aged 7 and Danish, aged 9, had already expired on Friday after consuming medicines prescribed by a quack.
On Saturday, 5 years old Muneeb also died in Nishtar Hospital of Multan.

Reportedly, the siblings were taken to Salman Medical clinic in Thatta Lal when they ran fever. After taking medicine their conditions deteriorated. Their parents took them to the Nishtar Hospital where two of them died yesterday and one child lost his life today.
The bodies of children are still in the hospital. The bodies would be released to the relatives after conducting post-mortem.
Police have arrested quack doctor Saleem, sealed the clinic and seized all the medicines.
The mother of the children while talking to the 24News TV channel has demanded the government provide justice to them.

Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar took stern notice of the death of the children. He sought a report from commissioner Multan division and secretary of health.
The CM ordered a thorough inquiry into the incident.
He said strict action should be taken against the people responsible for the availability and sale of substandard medicines. He expressed his heartfelt grievances over the death of innocent children.
