Schools in Balochistan to reopen on May 24, except Quetta

The government of Balochistan on Saturday announced the reopening of all schools (both private and government) in the province, barring the provincial capital Quetta, from May 24, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Issuing a notification in this regard, Secretary Education, Balochistan Sher Khan Bazai also urged the schools’ heads to ensure compliance with the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in view of the coronavirus pandemic.

It is worth mentioning here that Quetta is reporting more cases than any other city in the province.
On Friday last, the National Command Operation Center (NCOC) had announced that all public and private educational institutions in 52 high-risk districts of the country would remain closed till June 06, 2021.
The educational institutes in districts with a Covid-19 rate of less than 5 percent would be reopened in phases from Monday, May 24, 2021, and others would remain shut until the first week of next month.

Federal Ministry of Education spokesperson on Friday confirmed that the NCOC to make a decision about to open the educational institutes in the remaining 52 districts would hold its review meeting on June 03, 2021.
The spokesperson of the education ministry optimistically said schools in other districts would also be reopened on June 7 after the NCOC’s review meeting on June 03.
