PM salutes China to refuse to join G20 meeting
PM says Imran Khan ruined Pak relations with US, China; Terms Imran Khan’s yesterday tweet as a lie; Says Imran Khan changed ISI chief over unveiling corruption of his wife; Says May 9 rioters not to be forgiven; Assures no new laws being introduced
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Monday saluted China as it refused to go to the G20 meeting in Indian-Occupied Kashmir.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif addressed the National Assembly's Monday session and said former Prime Minister Imran Khan Niazi ruined Pakistan’s relations with the United States and China in his last tenure.
Shehbaz Sharif said propaganda was done against China during Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan's era.
He strongly criticized the PTI chairman for his corrupt practices and bad policies in the last regime and said by waving a fake letter, Imran Khan damaged the Pak-US relationship. PM Shehbaz said Imran's 'baseless' claims against the US are condemnable.
Shehbaz Sharif said Imran Khan Niazi again lied to the nation in his yesterday tweet.
He said Army Chief General Asim Munir as Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Director General told him [Imran Khan] about the corruption of his wife [Bushra Bibi] and in response to it, Imran Niazi had exchanged him [ISI chief] for the same reason.
The PM said he was saying this without fear because he know it. He said Rs60 billion is not an insignificant thing.
Over the issue of Imran Khan's yesterday tweet, Shehbaz Sharif also said that he denied this fearlessly as it was in his knowledge.
PM Shehbaz Sharif has claimed that he was unaware that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had issued arrest warrants for PTI Chairman Imran Khan but vandalism as result of it is unacceptable.
Addressing the National Assembly, Shehbaz Sharif said that the May 9 rioters will be tried under existing laws, and that no new legislation will be enacted.
In Mianwali, military jets which were purchased with the nation's hard earned money to fight the enemy but the rioters set fire to them, he said adding that are they not state enemies? As a result, all cases of attacks on military installations will be filed under army laws.
PM Shehbaz said Pakistan wouldn't survive if the miscreants of the May 9 tragedy involved in the desecration of martyrs, monuments, and military installations were treated leniently.
He said this heartbreaking incident will not be forgotten by the nation, adding that they don't have a personal grudge but those who desecrated the martyrs, Ghazis, and their monuments, and burned down Jinnah House will face legal consequences.
