Two girls’ schools blown up in North Waziristan

Extremists blew up two girls’ schools in tehsil Mir Ali of North Waziristan late Sunday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The DPO, however, said that no loss of life was reported in the incident.
He said that militants blew up Government Girls Middle School Khasokhel and Girls Middle School Noor Jannat Gul while the hunt was underway to arrest them.
The DPO said the militants used explosives to blow up the girls schools.
According to the Global Terrorism Database, there were 867 attacks on educational institutions in Pakistan from 2007 to 2015, resulting in 392 fatalities and 724 injuries.
The Global Coalition to Protect Education from Attack recorded at least 203 attacks on schools in Pakistan between 2013 and 2017.
