Ishaq Dar chairs SDGs Achievement Programme steering committee meeting
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday chaired a meeting of the steering committee for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Achievement Programme, where participants reviewed progress on development initiatives and expressed satisfaction over the programme’s performance.
According to 24NewsHD TV, during the meeting, Dar directed that savings from previous years should be utilized within the same sector and province to ensure continuity and effectiveness of development projects.
He also stressed the importance of involving local communities in identifying and prioritizing development schemes, saying public participation was essential for addressing ground-level needs more effectively.
The deputy prime minister emphasized that funds allocated under the SDGs Achievement Programme should be spent in the best interest of the public and in line with development objectives.
The meeting was attended by federal ministers, Shazia Marri, senior official Tariq Bajwa, the cabinet secretary and other high-ranking officials.
