Karachi Site Super Highway Police Sunday night arrested the ex-husband of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Laila Perveen against the charges of torturing her.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, PTI leader Laila said that her ex-husband was involved in extorting money from her in-laws by having multiple marriages.

She said cases have also been registered against the accused (ex-husband) in other cities of Pakistan from his ex-wives.

Anyhow, the Karachi police have said that it had arrested the accused on a complaint of a money dispute from Laila’s brother.

But, the police revealed that the accused also tortured the complainer as well as Laila Perveen in the police station after his arrest.
