The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government will spend Rs one billion on the promotion campaign of its universal health insurance program.

According to the 24News HD TV channel, the PTI government will formally launch the Universal Health Insurance Program in January 2021.

Under the program, every family in Punjab will be able to get better treatment facilities in private hospitals through these free insurance cards.

The Punjab Government will spend a huge amount of Rs332 billion to provide private hospitals for VIP treatment of citizens till 2025.

As per the official documents submitted to the Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar, the government will spend Rs one billion on publicity and awareness of the project.

According to the documents, the promotional campaign of the Universal Health Insurance Program will be launched from December 1 at Governor House Punjab.

On January 1, 2021, Prime Minister Imran Khan will formally launch the issuance of Universal Health Insurance Card, after which it will be given to each family
