A shootout between Dolphin Force personnel and suspected dacoits near the Punjab University in Lahore left a female student dead, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The female student became the victim of the crossfire between the Dolphin jawans and the dacoits near the Punjab University campus.

The TV channel reported that Fatima died on the spot after she was hit by a bullet.

The Dolphin personnel later succeeded in arrested the three dacoits.

On September 22 last, a Dolphin squad nabbed a three-member gang of robbers in a posh locality of Lahore. The arrested included a woman who lured a motorist into an armed robbery in Valencia. As the gangster started firing he saw a Dolphin team, a spokesperson said, adding that the lawmen chased the robbers and arrested them.

Later, the three were handed over to local police. High-ups praised the team.
