Yahya Butt – chief coordinator of the Chief Minister Youth Mobilisation Committee – pointed a gun at the employees of a petrol pump in Gujranwala, creating panic among citizens, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
This incident was recorded as the CCTV footage shows the people present on the scene first panic but later surrounded Butt, demanding police to recover weapons from him.
But Butt was in no mood to backtrack or apologise as he said that he had weapons in his vehicle. “I am chief coordinator. There are always 10 gunmen [bodyguards] with me,” says the person supposed to mobilise the youth for the ruling party.
However, the officials from Khiali Police Station said the two parties had reached a deal.
Meanwhile, if this is the mindset and approach of a person who will marshal the youth for the PTI then there shouldn’t be any doubt about the outcome.
This behaviour representing complete lawlessness and no regard for people’s safety again also proves the stance taken by the opposition parties that the ventures like the Tiger Force launched by Prime Minister Imran Khan will create long-term serious problems in the society.
Many feel that it is an attempt to create fear among the people and intimidate the rivals as well as the administration through gangs as there is no law to regulate the working of Tiger Force.
