Government to establish National Health Complaint Management Cell
The federal government has decided to compile comprehensive data on health-related complaints received from across the country in an effort to strengthen public health policymaking, official sources said on Wednesday.
According to sources, the National Institute of Health (NIH) has been assigned the task of establishing a Health Complaint Management Cell to centralize and organize records of health complaints nationwide. The information collected through this system will be shared with provincial and district authorities to enable immediate and coordinated action.
Health Ministry sources said that currently, multiple data sources are operating independently, making it difficult to formulate coherent and evidence-based health policies. The new system aims to create a unified and credible database that reflects real-time public health concerns.
Officials added that the NIH will take coordinated measures to obtain authentic disease data, ensuring that the Health Ministry can design and implement effective, data-driven policies to improve the nation’s healthcare response and planning.
