CM Maryam to supervise flood relief operation personally
Punjab chief minister visits flood-hit areas of Bahawalnagar
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited flood-affected areas of Bahawalnagar on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The district administration gave a detailed briefing to the Chief Minister. She also visited a stitching point established in a flood-relief camp under the auspices of the social welfare department.
She also visited a medical camp in the relief camp. The Chief Minister congratulated a mother on the birth of a son. She also extended love and affection to the newly born boy.

The Chief Minister mixed with the flood-affected people and distributed gifts among them by herself.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister handed over clothes stitchedsssss by herself. MNA Chaudhary Ehsanul Bajwa, MPA Rukhsana Shafiq and other parliamentarians were also present on the occasion.

Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb and Minister for Information Kazim Ali Pirzada was also accompanied the chief minister.
Maryam Nawaz said that she will continue rehabilitation of flood-affected people and will supervise the relief operation personally.

Bus service inauguration
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz also inaugurated the first-ever latest Electro Bus Project in Sahiwal.
On the occasion, Maryam Nawaz said, "I tell the youth that this service is completely free for you. A special ramp has been built on the bus for persons with disabilities. Now, the people of Sahiwal will be able to travel with dignity."
She stated that providing quality transport facilities to the people of Punjab is a priority. Electric buses are being introduced in the smaller cities of Punjab.
"Thirty electric buses have been allocated for Sahiwal. The fare for the electric bus will be only Rs20. Persons with disabilities, women, senior citizens, and students will be able to travel for free."
"Women will be able to travel with dignity and safety. The buses are equipped with charging ports and Wi-Fi facilities. Signs of development from Nawaz Sharif’s era can be seen throughout the country," she added.
Provincial Minister for Transport Bilal Akbar Butt apprised the Chief Minister about the project.
He said that 16 buses will run during the first phase of the project and these buses will be operational on four routes.
He said that over 25,000 people benefit from the electric bus project.
A large number of people were present on both sides of the road to welcome Maryam Nawaz. The majority of the youngsters run alongside the electric buses.
