Haris Rauf ridicules Indian fans with 6-0 gesture in Asia Cup Match
The 6-0 score refers to Pakistan's shooting down six Indian fighter jets during May conflict
During the Asia Cup 2025 match played between Pakistan and India at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Sunday night, speedster Haris Rauf was seen taunting Indian cricket team fans with the 6-0 gesture after they teased the Pakistani fast bowler with hoots, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

Interestingly, the biggest support to Haris Rauf’s bold gesture came from Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif who patted on the fast bowler’s back by saying “Haris Rauf did the right thing. Keep it up”.
In a post on X platform, Khawaja Asif said “Cricket matches come and go, but 6-0 will never be forgotten by Indians till the end of the world. It will always be remembered.”

A number of videos and pictures of Haris Rauf making a 6-0 gesture to Indian fans while fielding near the boundary ropes went viral on the internet.
He also mimicked a plane flying and crashing with his hands, a gesture symbolising the Indian jets shot down by the Pakistan Air Force during the military conflict.

The 6-0 is a reference to Pakistan’s shooting down of six Indian fighter jets during the four-day border clash in May last.
In the match against India, which Pakistan lost by six wickets after failing to defend the total of 171 runs, Rauf bowled four overs and picked up two wickets for 26 runs. He opened his wicket account by dismissing Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav for a three-ball duck and then picked up Sanju Samson’s wicket.
While Abrar Ahmed caught Surya on the third ball of the 11th over of the run chase, Rauf breached Samson’s defence after he added 13 runs from 17 balls to India’s total.

In the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4s match, Indian fans present at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium teased Rauf with chants of ‘Virat Kohli’. Even though Kohli was not playing in the Super 4s match, fans used his name as a reference to tease Rauf.
Kohli had famously hit Rauf for two back-to-back sixes in the 19th over of the India-Pakistan 2022 T20 World Cup match at Melbourne Cricket Ground on October 23, 2022.

The clip of fans chanting Kohli’s name when Rauf was fielding near the boundary ropes is now going viral on the internet. Rauf reacted to the chants by asking fans to raise their voices.
