Startling revelations have poured in through reliable sources regarding the officer who was found leaking sugar report in violation of the standard procedure, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

Sajjad Mustafa, who was allegedly conveying the confidential report to Khusru Bakhtiyar and Chaudhry Brothers, in addition to some sugar mill owners, was inducted as an assistant director in 1990, without being sifted through public service commission examination.

FIA sources further revealed that only last year he was removed for waging propaganda against Agency’s own Lahore Cyber Crime. The department was then closed.

The departmental inquiry that followed the propaganda against Sajjad Mustafa has yet to see the light of the day, thanks to the overriding influence of the officer in question.

In addition, Mustafa is reportedly a dual citizen too. He is said to have spent seven years in Canada, and is allegedly a Canadian national too, which is inconsistent for a public service holder who is not allowed to have dual nationality.

According to the sources, during a long service starting from 1990, Mustafa never led any high-profile case.

Another gruesome aspect of this officer is that he is allegedly involved in human trafficking.

The sources also claimed that not a single FIA department witnessed Sajjad Mustafa’s deployment for more than three months.

However, the accused has dismissed all allegations levelled against him, and wrote a letter to DG FIA, according to the sources.

About his alleged involvement in leaking the confidential information to the sugar mill owners, the accused said he was in contact with the administration of sugar mills for procuring the relevant data.

While confirming the letter wrote to DG FIA, the accused officer Sajjad Mustafa said, “I’m an honest officer, and have my own style of conducting my duty.”
