The federal government appointed Jawad Rafique Malik as new Punjab Chief Secretary on Thursday.

According to a notification issued by the government, Jawad Rafique Malik replaced Major (r) Azam Suleman who was asked to report to Establishment Division.

Jawad was serving as secretary in communications ministry. The decision was made during a meeting held between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar in Islamabad today.
