In a startling disclosure, Aleema Khan, sister of former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan, said on Tuesday that despite the fact that the people at the helm of affairs had offered her brother a ‘deal’, the latter had flatly refused to make any compromise on his principles, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Speaking to the media at Islamabad’s Judicial Complex, she said that Imran stood for the rule of law as well supremacy of the constitution in the country. “Now we are beginning to understand why he has been laying stress on these points for the last 30 years,” Aleema said, and added, “When we, his family, do not feel protected, what will become of our future generations?”

She further said that the former prime minister had said that he would continue to face cases against him. “It is in everybody’s knowledge that there is nothing in these cases,” she said, and questioned, “For how long, will judges continue to overlook the fact that these cases are fake.”

These cases, she went on to say, were bogus. “We stand by with our brother firm like a rock,” Aleema concluded.
