Canada lauds Pakistan's efforts for advancing regional peace: FO
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening Pakistan-Canada bilateral relations across diverse sectors.
He was talking to the Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan, Ambassador Tarik Ali Khan, who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday.
Dar also underscored Pakistan’s continued efforts toward promoting lasting peace in the region and beyond. Ambassador Tarik Ali Khan conveyed Canada’s appreciation and support for Pakistan’s efforts to facilitate engagement aimed at advancing regional peace.
According to the Foreign Office (FO), Canada has expressed its appreciation to Pakistan for its efforts to “facilitate engagement aimed at advancing regional peace”.
Ottawa’s sentiments were conveyed by Canadian Ambassador to Pakistan Tarik Ali Khan when he called on Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, who reaffirmed Islamabad’s commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.
“DPM/FM underscored Pakistan’s continued efforts toward promoting lasting peace in the region and beyond,” the FO has said on X.
